Engaged by the St Giles Hotel Group, The Bold Collective were invited to bring to life the ground floor café & first floor restaurant in their latest hotel set above Sydney’s historic Tank Stream.
The Tank Stream Hotel, a freshly refurbished 1960’s heritage building set on the corner of Pitt & Hunter St is the new home of Le Petit Flot Restaurant & Wine Bar. Serving contemporary French casual dining with an emphasis on share plates and communal dining, the site required luxury finishes with a French flair.
The first floor restaurant features casual dining with large French farmhouse communal tables clad in rich brass, show kitchen bar seating, open air high table settings and an exclusive VIP dining room with recycled Tallowood timber features and wire mesh cabinetry.
Materials were key in the fitout to achieve the lush French feel, with aged antique mirror panelling, pressed tin feature ceilings, French doors, patchwork tiling and dark bamboo flooring.
The ground floor café is a fresh space with large expanses of herringbone tiling, rolling ceilings, high table settings and marble flooring. The rich bronze subway tiled counter references the lavish elements of the first floor restaurant.
